Harford Housing: A Local Perspective
As you may be aware, the Harford County Association of REALTORS® recorded its first televised event, Harford Housing: A Local Perspective, on June 21st, 2021, at the Harford Cable Network.
This event was created by HarCAR and implemented by the State of the Municipalities Task Force and the Women’s Council of REALTORS® to allow members and now the public to hear about changes taking place across the county and in the municipalities that impact homeownership and the real estate industry.
The program will air four times during the month of July. The following is the press release from the event that contains the scheduling information for you to watch it on television:
The Harford County Association of REALTORS® Hosts Harford Housing: A Local Outlook
Harford Housing: A Local Outlook will air weekly on the Harford Cable Network
BEL AIR, MD (6/21) — The Harford County Association of REALTORS® (HarCAR) recently hosted a televised program titled Harford Housing: A Local Outlook. This 45-minute program will air Sundays throughout the month of July at 7 p.m. on Harford Cable Network (Comcast channel 21 & HD 1084, Armstrong channel 7 & Verizon channel 3 or via VOD link at the viewers’ convenience: https://hcn.viebit.com/player.php?hash=PyF26s9U4NBN)
The program featured the Mayor of Aberdeen Patrick McGrady, the Mayor of Bel Air Amy Chmielewski and Harford County Council President Patrick Vincenti. Each speaker offered an overview of the residential and business landscape in their municipalities and the county.
“As we begin to come out on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, many are concerned about the pandemic’s lasting effects,” said HarCAR Executive Director Kathy McFadden. “The COVID-19 pandemic challenged the housing and rental markets, as well as many community businesses. Each elected official offered wonderful insights on what Harford County residents can expect in the future. I want to thank Harford Cable Network for producing this informative program and bringing it into the homes of county residents.”
As part of the program and HarCAR’s ongoing commitment to Harford County, the organization donated $500 to a charity of each elected officials’ choice. Throughout the year, HarCAR serves the community through both direct donations and volunteer work.
Mayor Patrick McGrady selected the Aberdeen Boys and Girls Club as his charity. The Aberdeen Boys and Girls Club provides a safe place to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Mayor Amy Chmielewski chose Linking All So Others Succeed (LASOS). Linking All So Others Succeed provides critical resources needed to support integration into American society for nonnative English-speaking residents.
Lastly, Council President Patrick Vincenti chose to support Rally Against Parkinson’s (RAP). RAP provides free Rock Steady boxing classes and more at Forest Hill Health and Fitness to help those with Parkinson’s Disease fight back against the symptoms.
“I’m honored to support Rally Against Parkinson’s and its amazing mission. Thank you to HarCAR for making this donation possible and for your continued support of the Harford County community,” said County Council President Vincenti.
