The Association provides our members with continuing education classes required by the Maryland Real Estate Commission for license renewal in a LIVE classroom setting as well as two online platforms.
The Association also provides NAR Designation courses and Professional Enhancement Seminars for our members.

Please note that limited seating is open to all Maryland licensees and available on a first-come first served basis. Walk-ins are discouraged and subject to seating availability.

HCAR Continuing Education Policy
Attendance
According to the Regulations set forth by the Real Estate Commission; you must provide a photo ID and sign in to enter the classroom; you must arrive ON TIME and remain the entire class time to receive Continuing Education Credit or Clock Hours – NO EXCEPTIONS! ON TIME means you must be signed in and seated by the time class starts. There is NO GRACE PERIOD! Allow time to find a parking space.
Bring your PHOTO Sentrilock Card to sign in and out OR you must provide a driver license with your photo AND your Maryland Real Estate License to enter the classroom.
You may not leave the class time for more than 5 minutes during a 60 minute period other than class breaks - a PASS will be provided by the monitor. If you arrive late or do not remain the entire class, you will not be eligible for any “credit or refund whatsoever.” You must sign out at the conclusion of the class. A NO SHOW FEE is assessed if you do not attend or cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Future attendance is prohibited until any NO SHOW FEE is fully paid.
Classroom Conduct
Your full attention must be given to the instructor and class materials. No reading materials other than those pertaining to the class will be permitted in the classroom. All cell phones and electronic communication devices must be turned OFF (not vibrate) while in class. Antitrust Laws will be obeyed.
Inclement Weather Policy
If Harford County Public Schools are DELAYED, all morning classes are canceled except designation courses which are dependent upon the schedule of outside instructors. ALL afternoon classes will run on time.
If schools are CLOSED, all classes are canceled that day. HCAR office, designation courses, Professional Standards Hearings and Board of Directors meetings will operate as scheduled normal hours unless determined otherwise by the CEO. Notice of any change to normal hours will be posted on our Facebook Page and web site.
Everyone should exercise common sense and not risk their safety or others unnecessarily.
